Po, I am Saber [a fellow Necroveil]. I have been doing some research as of late and have encountered a record of a Seelie prisoner called Raolin. I understand you were charged with his transport.

Please, take some time to speak with me on this matter. When one is dealing with wily foxes, things from the Battle of Falling Fire may hold more weight than others.

Saber. [He dips his head politely.] Raonil, I was, yes. We discovered his real identity was that of Isengrim though.

I'll be glad to tell you whatever I can.

[Insengrim? No wonder the Fox had wanted him, if he was the Seelie responsible for the kidnapping and hostage of his daughter.]

Thank you. How did you learn that was his true identity?

Reynard called him by it when we delivered him to Maupertius. Right before his execution.

Were you aware when the High Queen charged you with the prisoner transfer that such a fate awaited him?

We knew that he was going to face justice for his crimes, the murder of innocent people, of women and children. So it always was a possibility.

Hmm. My understanding is that one of the Seelie accompanied your group and that all of our courtmates, save for yourself, fell out of favor with the High Queen upon completion of the transport.

What happened?

[He takes a breath, silver and gold eyes unfocused on the locket now and almost looking past it.]

Near the end of the journey, a small group of Seelie approached us, believing it a trap and that Reynard would turn on us. When we refused to turn Isengrim over to them, they asked to go with us. Rather than have it turn to a fight and delay the journey any more than we already had, we agreed.

When we arrived, Reynard seemed to already know who among us were Seelie and who was Unseelie and had the gates closed behind us as he dealt with Isengrim. One of the Seelie bade us flee. My companions fled, I captured one of the Seelie and turned him over to Reynard.

[That was certainly an odd set of circumstances.]

Did you ever feel in danger from the Fox?

A bit, yes. While he was... dealing with Isengrim and during the chaos of everyone fleeing. [Afterward though, he had no reason to. He'd given Po rooms and soldiers.]

Forgive the question, but in what manner did Isengrim perish?

[Ah. He knew it would come to that.]

Reynard... stomped on his head. Repeatedly. [Definitely one of the few moments he's been thankful that he can't see anything.]

How very undignified.

Agreed. It was the last thing I honestly expected when I agreed to be one of Morla's Champions.

[He'd expected an execution, yes, based on the crimes they'd been told he committed. But nothing like that.]

[Saber hummed in thought a moment.]
